Many designers can create wowing products, but not all of them can enlighten future generations with their experience. In this episode of Great Big Story, the president’s tailor Martin Greenfield plays the host and talks us through his journey to the fore. The 88-year-old first got his hands on garments when he was assigned to launder and mend armed personnel clothing at Auschwitz during World War II. After being liberated by President Eisenhower, he migrated to the U.S. and later thanked the president with a custom three-piece suit. He was since then honored as the exclusive tailor for every American president. Greenfield is more than a fashion legend, but a role model who dares to explore all the potentials and lives a rewarding life despite suffering from hardship in the past. Enjoy the video above.
