Balenciaga just revealed Demna Gvasalia’s entire debut campaign — again couture moods are injected into on-the-street styling. “I wanted the pieces to be shot in a real environment around where we work and live,” he told WWDupon the campaign’s debut in June. “So we shot in various locations on the streets of Paris.”
The Mark Borthwick-shot campaign mirrors Gvasalia’s approach to Vetements. Styled by Lotta Volkova, Gvasalia’s right-hand woman, it was enough to catch Marc Jacobs’ attention. He wrote on her Instagram: “gorgeous.” We agree.
