RSVP Gallery took the challenge of interpreting some choice pieces from Raf Simons‘ 2016 fall/winter drop into a strikingly moody editorial entitled, “RM 121.” In this pictorial and video, the Chicago boutique used a motel room as a backdrop to convey the somber, yet stylish relationship that the couple presented in the shoot has. The lighting is what sets the tone of the imagery with bright magentas and deep midnight blues — reminiscent of films such asEnter the Void and Only God Forgives. As for the clothes themselves, RSVP’s talented stylists chose to showcase an oversized sweater, patched-up button-down, oversized outerwear and scarf as some of the star pieces for the editorial.
