Ruslan Karablin’s SSUR (which takes its name from the flipped acronym of “RUSS,” as a tribute to founder Karablin’s Russian heritage) asserts its relevance in the streetwear world today with updated designs that continue to be influenced by established art and cultural icons like Stussy and Keith Haring’s graffiti and pop art. The New York-based label’s latest offering of contemporary apparel is now showcased in a new Toronto-focused editorial featuring Brampton-born OVO artist, Roy Wood$.
Brandon Cribb and Fridge of SSUR (also known as Stop Doing Nothing) headed to T-dot during NBA’s All-Star Weekend where they snapped the rapper together with his collective, Unlock The Underground (UTU) – who don standout items like theBlack Magic graphic tee as well as the brand’s latest range of caps — shortly before the Saturday evening madness.
Take a listen to Roy Wood$’ latest music on his Soundcloud and check out his recent Boiler Room Toronto set with fellow OVO cohort Majid Jordan here.
