The Swoosh has a huge farewell in store for one of its most exciting athletes in Kobe Bryant. With Nike’s Prelude Collection gaining huge popularity upon its release, Nike is set to release a “Fade to Black” collection as a celebration of the Black Mamba’s highly decorated career. The offering will include all of Kobe’s signature models with Nike, including the Huarache 2K4. Featuring a tonal color-blocking theme, the collection will start with a white dominated colorway and will gradually fade to all black with each silhouette being the canvas. Thanks to the Instagram account of KB824, we can expect the official release to start rolling out around mid-March and span through April with a retail price of $200 USD ( R3120.40 ZAR ) for each pair. With Bryant’s international popularity, it isn’t confirmed whether the release will take place in Asia or stateside first.
