BAIT and Saucony Present the 5000 CruelWorld 6 “Giant Leaps”

The fashion world is often dismissed as vapid, superficial and materialistic, but that’s not an accusation you can throw at BAIT and Saucony. The two brands have donated over $100,000 to various charities over the course of their “CruelWorld” series of sneaker collaborations, which returns for its sixth incarnation with a Saucony Shadow 5500 “Giant Leaps.”
The CruelWorld Initiative has been a way for BAIT to give back to communities and causes through its Saucony Collaborations. This year, BAIT will reach across the globe to support Follow Your Dreams in the United Kingdom, an organization that helps kids with learning disabilities pursue their dreams.
Fusing the designs of the Shadow 5000 and 6000, the sneaker was created with the moon landing in mind, to exemplify the concept of chasing dreams. This manifests in reflective 3M hits with a fitted moon print that wraps around the lateral part of the sneaker. Meanwhile, BAIT and Saucony CruelWorld branding appears on a NASA-inspired woven label at the tongue, along with photography of the moon and earth tucked away on the insoles.
Retailing at $120, the BAIT x Saucony Shadow 5500 “Giant Leaps” will be available from all seven global BAIT locations and via an online raffle.
Check out the previous CruelWorld collab, the “New World Water.”
